Key Largo Villa, Kawama K5, 3/3

Positive: The property itself is stunning, well decorated and makes you feel at home. The amenities on property and wildlife are amazing BUT… Negative: The first night we realized that while the beds were very clean the bathrooms had long black hairs on the floor, shower and sinks. Everything else was very clean. The last evening we were there we turned on the kitchen light to make dinner and going from a front deck door all along the trim work and frame of the bathroom door were what appeared to be termites, a long, long, long string of them. We had to contact the owner repeatedly through email, text and phone calls before finally receiving a call back. While she was extremely nice, explained that she is on the HOA or head of and other tenants on the property had also had complained of similar issues but HOA was convinced they are carpenter ants and fighting tenants on who is responsible. We slept very uncomfortably if at all that last night because, well eeew and gross. Especially when paying over $1000 for two nights. Not very romantic with lots of bugs. She assured when we checked out they would send maintenance in. There was no offer of compensation for our trouble and so we put a stop payment which we were told by our bank the owner disputed. I took pics and even sent them to her. Very disappointed!
